Rainforest Adventure – Self-Drive Tour

The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes from the Papagayo Peninsula, depending on where you are staying. On the way, we use a beautiful waterfall located about 1 hour and 10 minutes from the peninsula as a stop to rest, enjoy the scenery, and continue the adventure. If you prefer, you can skip the waterfall and go directly to the rainforest.

Once at the rainforest, you can enjoy a variety of activities. The main highlight is sloth watching in a private reserve, where animals are in their natural habitat. You may also see frogs, toucans, and other wildlife.

Other optional activities include a coffee tour, a visit to Tenorio National Park / Rio Celeste, and tubing in Rio Celeste. Usually, guests do 3 activities, depending on their preference.

After booking, our representative will send you the locations based on the activities you choose. We can also recommend local restaurants, but meals are not included.
